Little Palm Island: The Keys

GET LOST. No Passport Required!

Exclusive, private, romantic, adults-only Little Palm Island is America’s equivalent to Bora Bora or the Maldives. Located 45 minutes north of the Key West Airport, and a 15 minute boat ride off of Little Torch Key, the motto at Little Palm Island is “GET LOST”. With so many long haul trips on hold, and adults needing a “get-a-way” from the “domestic bliss” of quarantining with kids or simply to celebrate the anniversary or birthday in style, Little Palm Island is calling!

If you come in by car, the Little Palm check-in is actually located on Little Torch Key and is a marvelous place to set the tone for what is to come.

We were welcomed by the friendly LPI team, our luggage was magically replaced with rum punches, and we were invited to make ourselves comfortable in the air conditioned living area or on the sun strewn deck outdoors to await the Launch which departs hourly.

Taking the Launch from Little Torch to Little Palm Islands

Arriving to Little Palm Island can be by their private vessels, The Truman, your own private yacht or by a Sea Plane from Miami or Key West.

Check-in formalities are handled during the welcome at Little Torch. When we reach the dock at LPI, guests services gives us a quick look around the lovely island on the way to our bungalow.

30 Beachfront Bungalows are inspired by a British West Indies Esthetic with a modern twist. Authentic thatched roofs and vaulted ceilings are complemented by private outdoor showers, vibrant ocean views and plush, all-new interiors.

Our Name was on our Bungalow, helpful after stumbling home from dinner.

Thoughtful amenities including a complimentary honor bar, espresso machine, tote bag with towels, chocolates, home-made cookies, and maybe even a bottle of French champagne, depending on your selected package.

Splurge for a Bungalow Suite where guests enjoy an extended outdoor living area that you will be very glad to have!

Indulge in island isolation where champagne is poured by mid-morning, the sea sparkles in the sun and the only decision is whether to wake up for an early morning snorkel or to lounge in a hammock on the beach. It’s just you, four acres of beach, no phones, no TVs and no distractions.

There is an absolutely wonderful vibe at LPI that just makes the stress roll off your neck and shoulders and bury itself deep in the sand. The sophisticated house-music is low with a sense of place, cell phones are highly discouraged, and fellow guests just seem like they have found the best kept secret in the world. Though don’t let the reposeful atmosphere fool you, as there are a long list of activities and excursions available to you should you desire. All outings are customized and private – seaplane down to Key West for lunch, charter a yacht for fishing, or simply pack a picnic and paddle board about the calm Florida Keys waters.

Food and Wine are very much center stage at LPI. Wonderful places to dine and each meal is curated to your mood – would you like to sit at the pool, the beach, on the dock, in your bungalow, at the bar, in the dining room – inside or out? No problem.

“Some people never find it, some only pretend. But I just want to live, Happily ever after, now and then”

– Jimmy Buffet

The food is outstanding and fresh – oysters, calamari, crispy tuna tacos, creative ceviches, mahi tacos were a few of our favorite lunches. Dinners are an affair and the wine list will impress!
