Located in the Bitterroot Mountain Range of the Montana Rockies, Triple Creek is a fully-inclusive adults playground! Couples, groups of friends, or families with children over age 16 are welcome at Triple Creek!
Active travelers can play as hard or as little as they please while enveloping themselves in a truly romantic setting with incomparable scenery and a wide variety of wildlife. Guests come for the adventure but are enamored by the fully inclusive culinary program and the pampering ranch service that the Triple Creek team provides.

Lucky guests stay in 1, 2 or 3 bedroom private cabins or luxury ranch homes. All with fire places, indoor and outdoor sitting areas and hot tubs. This is glamping – rustic, yet luxurious with a Montana state of mind.

Triple Creek offers several Luxury Ranch Homes which are truly divine and ideal for a single couples such as Gil and I enjoyed below at the fabulous Stage Stop. Several couples or a family with adult kids would be delighted sharing the massive 3 bedroom Ponderosa.

Montana mornings are so fresh. Springtime temperatures range between 45° and 75° with crisp mornings and evenings. Summer days are warm and sunny, anywhere from 65° to 95° and may cool down to 45° at night. Fall tends to be a bit warmer than spring, with temperatures between 50° and 80° during the day, and dropping as low as 30° after sunset. Winter days are typically 25° to 45° with overnight temperatures in the low 20s. Weather can be unpredictable; storms can occur with little warning and temperatures can change quickly, so packing layers is essential!

While spending your day with a glass of wine in a hammock or at the pool or your own hot tub are certainly acceptable activities at Triple Creek, there are so many on-ranch activities included in the room rate that you may find it hard to sit still. Choose from horseback riding, hiking, snowshoeing, fly-casting, archery, sapphire panning, a tennis, trail running, mountain biking, fat tire snow biking, skiing, fishing, dog-sledding, cattle drives, cross country horse back riding, and trap shooting as a starter!

Cycling on Mountain and E-bikes

Off-ranch activities are equally enticing. We drove to Idaho for the day and enjoyed a gorgeous day of white water rafting on the historic and scenic Salmon River.

Dining is an Activity of its Own

For some, the all-inclusive Relais & Chateaux dining experience is worth the trip in itself. Each night the menus for the following day are delivered to your room to get your taste buds going in advance and allow you to plan our your culinary journey! The dress is ranch casual, with jeans and boots being perfectly acceptable for dinners. The all inclusive dining experience includes three meals a day, packed lunches, snacks, full bar and delicious wines by the glass. For oenophiles, a massive cellar with award winning premium vintages are available at an additional cost. Any meals can be delivered to your cabin with no additional charge. It really is completely all inclusive dining with no request being too much to ask, and no one ever needing to reach for the tab at the end of a meal!

The art collection throughout the property and all cabins is remarkable and mesmerizes guests as they climb the stairwell, visit the rest room, walk through the gardens or even relax in their own cabins. Ranch owners Craig and Barbara Barrett are passionate about western fine art and have carefully curated a magnificently varied collection of original pieces ranging from classic western artists such as Charles M. Russell and Frederick Remington to contemporary artists including William Matthews and Oleg Stavrowsky. My favorites were by Jeremy Winborg. When the owners are in residence they often invite guests to view the private collection located in their own home and the ranch hosts artist workshop weekends during the year as well.

Triple Creek is a special place and worth it even for a long weekend get-a-way. The perfect place for adults to get a way and have some fun and romance on their own or a wonderful place for a multi-get family with older kids to isolate and play together. The size of the ranch is also optimal as an exclusive take over for a big birthday celebration or for a corporate retreat. Resort to Laura Madrid is glad to help make your Montana adventure beyond special as a stand alone holiday or as a tag on to visits to the National Parks – Glacier, Yellowstone and Grand Teton are all within driving distance and Zion, Arches and Bryce are a short flight.
