Just back from a visit to glorious Palm Beach. This place is always so delightful – easy to get to, easy airport close to where you want to be, and a great vibe. Yes, everyone is impeccably dressed and you always see three generations enjoying each others company, but Palm Beach is also a sophisticated place for couples seeking to relax, shop, play golf or tennis or simply hang out on the beach. There are excellent dinner spots and a lively bar scene both on the island and across the bridge in West Palm Beach.
I visited two of my favorite properties to get a little update:
The Breakers – http://www.thebreakers.com/

The Breakers definitely feels like the place to be, it is enormous but still very well kept and swank. Location is perfect walking distance to the restaurants and bars of Palm Beach. There are movies on the lawn, an active kids activity schedule and a play ground. Food is excellent and the bars and lounges are simply bustling – could be a hot New York club in the evening. My personal favorite is their seafood bar with live sports on the tv and nothing but waves out the window.

The property is gorgeous inside and out with a wonderful classic and historic feel.
Downside – There is charge for many of the kids activities and if you dont splurge for an ocean view room, you may be looking at a rooftop.

Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach -http://www.fourseasons.com/palmbeach/
Still the only 5 star, 5 diamond property in Palm Beach, Four Seasons can always be counted on for spot on service.

The resort has enjoyed a recent renovation and really looks fresh and spiffy. Being a smaller property, the feel is quiet and serene, with almost all of the rooms ocean-facing. If beach is important, this is the place, with the widest and nicest place to soak up the sun on the island.

Food and beverage are excellent with a highlight being the newly opened swanky and absolutely delicious Jove Kitchen and Bar – wonderful and creative modern Italian cooking!

The spa is delightful and the water and heat treatments are complimentary for guests. The resort does not charge a resort fee and Kids for all Seasons program is complimentary. Esthetically, the facade of the Four Seasons is fairly standard, but once inside you are enveloped in the simple and contemporary glamor that Four Seasons always pulls off very well!
Downside to the Four Seasons – Location is further from the hustle and bustle of Palm Beach and Worth Avenue
